Access for all does not mean access for all uses in all places. Tesla Park’s not the place for damaging OHV motorized recreation. Tesla Park should be a nature and cultural preserve.
The State OHV program is not primarily user funded and OHV users didn’t pay for Tesla Park. That is the OHV ‘Big Lie.’ The main funding for the OHV program is from State gas tax transfers.
Given the climate crisis, why does the State still exempt OHVs from emission standards, AND promote and subsidize their use in State Parks?
Governor Newsom and Secretary Crowfoot – Implement your 30×30 Biodiversity Executive Order – permanently protect Tesla Park as a nature and cultural preserve.
AB 1512 & SB 799 were passed out of Appropriations. Next step – floor vote. Thank you Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan and Senator Glazer for your leadership & commitment to permanently protect Tesla Park.
