So THANKFUL to all who helped protect Tesla Park from damaging motorized recreation. Now we work to establish Tesla as a Reserve that’ll provide public access for passive use and education with resource protection the priority.
Protect Native American Sites
Tesla Park has important Native American sites. In this Native American Heritage Month, State Parks must do more than just ‘consult’- they need to act to establish Tesla as a Reserve with the highest level of resource protection.
Tesla Needs To Be A Reserve
To permanently preserve Tesla Park’s sensitive native landscape and provide low-impact passive public access and education, Tesla needs to be a Reserve which makes protecting natural and cultural resources a priority.
Planning Process
Now that Tesla Park is protected from damaging OHV use, there’ll be a planning process to establish Tesla as a unit of the State Park system.

State Natural and Cultural Reserve
Now that Tesla Park is permanently protected from damaging motorized recreation, the next step is to establish Tesla Park as a State Natural and Cultural Reserve.
